Interviewer ( Sanket Chaturvedi ): Good evening, Advocate Pushpendra Shukla. Thank you for joining us today. With the Bar Council of Delhi elections approaching, advocates across the city are eager to hear from candidates who truly understand their struggles. You've been practicing law in Delhi for nearly three decades. What inspired you to step into this electoral arena?

Pushpendra Shukla: Thank you for having me. My three decades of experience have shown me the heart of our profession – the dedication, the challenges, and the fading voice of advocates in both the legal system and society at large. Day by day, I see our community's influence weakening, and that's unacceptable. I'm contesting because I want to do real, tangible work for advocates in Delhi. No empty promises – just honest action to restore our strength and dignity.

Interviewer: That's refreshing to hear in a time when many candidates focus on rhetoric over results. One of your key proposals is digitalizing the Bar Council's operations. How do you envision this transforming the daily lives of advocates and their clients?

Pushpendra Shukla: Absolutely, digitalization is at the core of my plan. Imagine a system where paperwork is streamlined, processes are transparent, and everything is accessible with a few clicks. This isn't just about convenience; it's about making life easier for advocates and clients alike. No more endless queues or opaque decisions – transparency will build trust and efficiency. As someone who's navigated the current system for years, I know exactly where the bottlenecks are, and I'm committed to fixing them honestly and effectively.Interviewer: Speaking of the future, you have a strong vision for young advocates. Many newcomers feel lost in the profession. What reforms do you propose to support them?

Pushpendra Shukla: Young advocates are the backbone of our future, yet they often face uncertainty and lack of support. My vision includes comprehensive reforms focused on their dignity and security. We'll create mentorship programs, skill-building workshops, and a safety net to ensure they thrive. But it goes beyond that – I want to open doors to international opportunities for Indian lawyers, especially the young ones. Exposure to global legal practices will elevate our entire community. And for professional placement, I'll work tirelessly to connect them with multinational companies, Indian corporate giants, and top law firms. No young lawyer should suffer financial crises when there's so much potential out there. With true leadership, these goals are entirely achievable.

Interviewer: That's inspiring. And what about our senior advocates? The ones who've given decades to this profession?

Pushpendra Shukla: They deserve our utmost respect and security. If elected, I'll ensure pensions for old advocates – a promise rooted in gratitude for their contributions. It's not just about finances; it's about honoring their legacy and providing peace of mind in their later years.Interviewer: Another standout aspect of your platform is the comprehensive insurance package. Can you elaborate on that?

Pushpendra Shukla: Yes, every advocate enrolled in Delhi, whether residing here or in the NCR, should have robust protection. I'm talking about a full package covering health, accidents, life, and more. Life in the legal world is unpredictable – courtrooms, travel, stress – and we need to safeguard our colleagues. This isn't a luxury; it's a necessity, and I'll make it a reality through dedicated advocacy and partnerships.

Interviewer: How do you plan to strengthen the overall voice of advocates in the judicial system and society? Many feel marginalized today.

Pushpendra Shukla: The weakening voice is a serious issue – we're often sidelined in policy decisions that affect us directly. I'll push for regular consultations with the judiciary, government, and Bar Council bodies to ensure our concerns are heard. We'll organize advocacy campaigns, workshops, and unity drives to amplify our collective voice. Advocates must be respected partners in justice delivery, not just participants.Interviewer: What steps will you take to address issues like delayed payments, workload pressures, or ethical challenges within the profession?Pushpendra Shukla: These are everyday realities for many. I'll advocate for faster disbursement of legal aid fees, reasonable workload guidelines, and stronger mechanisms to handle ethical complaints fairly and swiftly. We'll also introduce support systems like counseling for stress management. My focus is on practical solutions that make the profession sustainable and honorable.

Interviewer: Infrastructure in courts can be a major hurdle – poor facilities, lack of space, etc. Do you have plans for improvements?

Pushpendra Shukla: Definitely. I'll collaborate with authorities to upgrade court infrastructure – better libraries, waiting areas, digital filing systems, and even dedicated advocate lounges. A comfortable environment boosts productivity and dignity for everyone involved.

Interviewer: You've mentioned international opportunities. Can you share more about how you'll facilitate global exposure for Delhi advocates?

Pushpendra Shukla: Through partnerships with international bar associations, exchange programs, and training in cross-border law. We'll organize webinars with global experts and create pathways for young advocates to intern or work abroad. This will not only enhance skills but also bring prestige to our Delhi bar.

Interviewer: In a field where skepticism runs high, why should advocates – new and old – see you as the best choice?

Pushpendra Shukla: Because I'm not here for personal gain; I'm here to serve. My track record speaks for itself – three decades of ethical practice, fighting for justice without compromise. New advocates will find in me a mentor who opens doors, while seasoned ones will see a colleague who fights for their security and voice. I'm the honest candidate who truly wants to uplift the advocates' society in Delhi. If there's true leadership, no goal is unachievable. And to those doubting, remember this timeless wisdom: मिटा दो अपनी हस्ती को ग़र कुछ मर्तबा चाहो, के दाना खाक में मिलकर गुल ए गुलज़ार बनता है। Sacrifice for the greater good, and you'll bloom into something extraordinary. That's my commitment to every advocate.

Interviewer: Powerful words, Advocate Shukla. Thank you for this in-depth conversation. It's clear you're the dedicated, experienced, and honest leader Delhi's bar needs for real change. Best of luck in the elections – the fraternity is watching!

this is Sanket Chaturvedi signing of for now!
